Disney Villain Countdown: 15/40

**Spoiler Alert! Some villains are revealed in plot twists, so if you haven't seen all the movies...**

That crown kinda makes her look like she should be in Mirkwood, no?

Fear/Intimidation Factor
Queen Narissa? Let's see... magic? Check. Malicious? Check. Manipulative and cunning? Check. Poisoned apples? Check. Transfiguration powers to become creepy old hag? Check. Massive Dragon form? Check. Can wield weapons? Check. Motivated by power? Yeesh. Narissa is an overachiever in this category.

Character Design
Narissa overachieves again in this category.  The score can't be perfect, since she is largely derivative (the whole point of satire).  Her animated form is gorgeous and evokes Vanessa from Little Mermaid, she's got the most epic real life iridescent armor-like dress in the real world, she can transform into an old lady hag or a gorgeous pearlescent dragon.  Seriously, Narissa, can you also give yourself gills and turn into a giant Cephalopod-sea beast?

Wit & Quotability
Narissa has moments when she stumbles into cliché, but that's a necessary evil when it comes to creating a satire designed to evoke past villains.  Narissa still manages to whip out several memorable lines of her very own.

Memorability
This is the trickiest category to score Narissa. Visually, she's incredibly remarkable. On the same token, almost all of her visuals are designed as homage to past iconic villains (the hag, the witch, the enchanted mirror, the dragon, etc etc).  Perhaps for that reason, Narissa struggles to become memorable in her own right.

Conveniently, this is also a great way to greet spouses, friends, relatives...

Sidekicks
Nathaniel is wonderful, if also evocative of past snivelling, henpecked sidekicks.  The good news for Nathaniel is he gets to rise above his predecessors to have a much more impressive story arc and (spoiler) relatively happy ending of his own.

What?? She's just putting "me" first!

Song
Though there is much glorious witty music in Enchanted, and we know Susan Sarandon can rock a Toucha-Touch Me, Narissa is blessed with none of it.  Neutral score.
