Raising a kid and going to WDW. A lot.

Our first attempt at spreading ye ol' Holiday Spirit at Epcot was pretty successful, despite my child's iffy moods between character stops.

First stop: Epcot Character Spot (Hooray for FastPass).  Mickey's been so good to us this year. Watching the families in front of us gave us a chance to see that this was a Sassy Mickey; he was bossing people around into different positions and waving his hands earnestly between pointed hands-on-hips moments. Hi-larious.

I still love how surprised a character can look even when their faces aren't... animate.

There was also an urgent (if silent) conversation involving the status of the Spaceship Earth globe on the wall mural.

There's just something about Goofy: he always gets Daphne to dance with him. This kid won't dance with us, Oh No. Goofy was his usual charmingly befuddled self over his gift.

The family in front of us gave us a rather unusual character experience to witness. Apparently the dad was a big fan of Minnie, and when he hugged her he might have... uhh... wiggled... a bit suggestively. O_O Minnie was all no no no and started waving urgently at Mickey and blowing kisses at him apologetically. People are weird.  Daphne made no inappropriate moves on Minnie, unless you consider sticking her head in Minnie's mouth inappropriate...

D loves the Cabelleros outfit of Donald (really she loves all of them, but she gets pretty excited any time we stroll past Mexico). Donald was pretty excited about his present, too.

Although I think he was the most excited when we told him that he got way more kisses than Mickey did from Daphne.

I am a huge fan of meeting Winnie and Tigger in the World Showcase; you'd think that place was a secret with the lack of lines (it is, admittedly, hard to find if you don't know it's there). Winnie seemed a bit confused at first, as to why this kid was urgently waving something at him before getting her hug.

Tigger, however, figured it out right away

But he figured it out.

Don't feel bad, Tigger! We have one for you, too!

While D was talking to Tigger, Pooh was staring really intently at his gift. Then it seemed to dawn on him what he was holding, and he got all excited again and wanted a kiss, too.

Look at these two pros, posing with their gifts. Winnie and Tigger are Grrrrrrreat! Oh wait, wrong tiger...

Posing Pros.

Stay tuned, hopefully there will be more ProjectTY this weekend!
