**Spoiler Alert! Some villains are revealed in plot twists, so if you haven't seen all the movies...**

Fear/Intimidation Factor
There's something to be said for a woman with giant trained attack gators. It's a good score. In the end, she's not super scary, but she's managed to cow a lot of people, so hats off.

Character Design
I. Love. Her.  Her bra aversion, her swordfish nose, her exquisite pear shape, her neon ginger hair, her obvious sun-aversion (her skin is almost purple), her penchant for statement jewelry... Madame Medusa is DIVINE.

If you can get swamp gators to like you, I'm sure it must work on kids, too.

Wit & Quotability
Medusa is NOT queen of the one-liners, but the delivery of almost everything she says gives me a good chuckle.

Damn, that's cold.

Memorability
It's time for me to be 100% honest with myself.  I LOVE Madame Medusa, but... she's the less memorable, less glamorous, less larger-than-life version of Cruella.  I was bummed that she didn't make it into the top half of the countdown, but it's mostly because of this category.  I had her higher at first, but Ian repeatedly said "Who? Who is that? I don't remember her." So I had to acknowledge that my personal feelings toward Medusa clouded my scoring the first go-round.

Got a bat in the cave? Medusa is ON it.

Sidekicks
Brutus and Nero, the glorious attack gators (while fun to look at) don't have a lot to offer to the plot.  Neither does the smarmy Snoopes. Just above middling.

Elizabeth Taylor should have used Medusa to sell perfume.

Song
No singing for Medusa.
